Deli Boys was a funny romp through the fictitious criminal underbelly of the Philadelphia region. Mir Dar (Asif Ali) and his brother Raj (Saagar Shaikh) are suddenly thrust to the head of a drug syndicate when their father Arshad "Baba" Dar (Iqbal Theba) dies. Mir had been modeling himself after the public image of his father, as the future CEO of DarCo - a corporation of convenience stores used as a front for “Dark DarCo” the criminal enterprise. The series starts when the F.B.I. raids DarCo and takes everything as part of their investigation of “Dark DarCo”.
They are introduced to the truth by ‘Auntie’ Lucky (Poorna Jagannathan), when she explains how when the F.B.I. seized the convenience stores, they lost their distribution network but still owe the Peruvians who supply their cocaine. The two brothers through a series of events work to pay off their debt while avoiding further issues with the Bureau.
There are more brilliantly funny performances from Alfie Fuller as Prairie, Raj's shaman, Brian George as ‘Uncle’ Ahmad who wants to take over the business for himself, Amita Rao as Nandika, a cosplayer with a crush on Raj and more. This is a fantastic series I think everyone will enjoy.
been looking forward to seeing this one
